Does your website look great on your laptop?

I was looking at a client's website yesterday and it looked terrible. The text was all far too small, while the choice of colours also made it hard to read.

The funny things is, the company in question is a design agency. Weird, isn't it?

Well no. It happens all the time. The reason is that designers use huge monitors, so to them the website looked fine. But on a laptop with a 15-inch screen it was another story altogether.

So designers, please remember to test the websites you create on laptops and the sort of PC screens us mere mortals have.

And for everyone else, get the smallest laptop possible and browse through your website. If you find yourself peering into the screen to try to read a tiny font, well you need to call your web designer.
