Marketing is a complex series of activities, all of which must be done effectively. From working out who your customers are to creating communications campaigns, there are many separate things that you need to get right. And of course they must all be integrated into a coherent strategy and operational plan.

In order to carry out these activities successfully a range of skills are needed. Most organisations find that there are gaps in skills and knowledge among their staff. That’s only natural given the constant turnover of staff and the ever-changing environment and priorities of most organisations.

So Marketing Ability concentrates on helping you to achieve the right skills set within your marketing department. These skills might include the creation of marketing plans, the implementation of market research, writing for paper or web-based communications materials or any of a number of other disciplines.

We can also help you to create a marketing (i.e customer-focused) culture. In many organisations, people outside the marketing department will be carrying out marketing activity, such as product development or service delivery. A greater understanding of marketing concepts such as customer segmentation could help them achieve their objectives.
