CIM marketing courses

tl_files/images/website-pages/cim-courses-employers-information.jpgMarketing Ability delivers part-time courses for Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications in Peterborough, Norwich and Watford.

With a five-year track record as a CIM Accredited Study Centre whose students consistently achieve above average pass rates, we can offer you an excellent environment in which to study for your CIM qualifications.

As well as our programmes of tutorials, each course offers you two excellent additional learning opportunities:

Prepare for your course with our ‘Head Start’ programme

Unique to Marketing Ability, our Head Start programme starts the learning as soon as you enrol for a course. Each week leading up to the course’s first tutorial, we will set you some reading and practical activities to help you ease into the learning.

It’s entirely optional of course, but you may welcome the chance to make a start with some gentle activity ahead of the course itself.

Make even more of your course with our ‘Syllabus Plus’ approach

Our Syllabus Plus approach recognises the need for something above and beyond the core tutorial and reading activity. So as well as the tutorials and text books, we give you a varied programme of learning activities. There are two main aspects of this approach:

Your course has its own dedicated student website, where your tutors will typically set some multi-media homework each week, including links to online resources (such as articles, case studies and videos), as well as starting discussions in the forum section of the site.

As well as the excellent learning delivered by your tutors, we also incorporate at least two specialist masterclasses into every course. These are always designed to help you develop practical skills and knowledge from people who are involved in specific areas of marketing covered by your course. (Not included in the Introductory Certificate in Marketing course.)

Our courses lead to these CIM marketing awards and qualifications:

Introductory Certificate in Marketing

This course will give you a foundation in the function of marketing and its role in an organisation. It's ideal if you are in a role outside of a marketing department but wish to know more about the subject, as well as if you are in a junior marketing role.

"With no marketing qualifications I was worried that I would struggle to keep up, but the tutors spent a lot of time ensuring we understood each topic. I have learnt an incredible amount in a short time and apply my new knowledge every day."
Nyree Ambarchian

“I was made redundant last year but this qualification has helped me find work elsewhere. It has also given me the opportunity to merge my practical experience with theory and, by being delivered over a short timeframe, it enabled me to get a qualification fast - without taking years out to study. Mixing work life with studying is hard but with the support of the Marketing Ability team, I managed to balance this well and achieve what I wanted to. I am very interested in developing my studies further and will look no further than Marketing Ability to do this.”
